A Extremely Rare Antique Italian/Brescian Miquelet Flintlock Pistol by LAZARI COMINAZ, circa. 1680 - 1730. 14", .60 cal. steel barrel marker signed on the top flat of breech 'LAZARI COMINAZ'. Worked and engraved steel furniture including a belt hook. The pistol is in its original Miquelet flintlock configuration with a very unique form noting the transitional point at the bottom of the lock plate which is a carryover from the earlier wheel lock. The stock is of wonderful form and solid with some minor stress cracks, light scratches and dings from years of handling. 21.5" overall length. We may never see another one of these rare pistols again especially in this condition !
Note; The barrel may have been from an earlier Wheel Lock pistol and re-used.
